The EyeDirect HDV has the same benefits as the larger EyeDirect 16x9, but in a smaller, one piece housing designed specifically for prosumer HDV and DSLR style cameras. Like the EyeDirect 16x9, it uses a high-quality, optically-pure beam splitter glass and has the three-axis glass spotting mirror so you can be comfortably higher or lower than the subject. it can be used on the right or left side of the camera to accommodate either a camera operator/interviewer duo, or a lone camera operator. The EyeDirect HD can also double as a teleprompter with the optional USB LCD monitror. Size is 18" x 8" x 5"

The EyeDirect HDV is just 4.25lbs, light enough to hand hold, making for some interesting new possibilities.
