This new lightweight beauty ringlight system, designed by lighting cameraman David Amphlett utilises the very latest LED technology.

The kisslite® 3200K white LED ringlight was the first available low *CCT and high *CRI warm white solid-state light source. This new LED portable ringlight system opens the door for significantly greater use of solid-state illumination in commercial, drama, documentary and news shooting, replicating the soothing, warm feel typically associated with incadescent and halogen lights.

The kisslite® ringlight unit clamps onto the barrel of most popular fixed barrel zoom and prime lenses and also features an adaptor clamp for standard Arri 19mm bars. Step-down rings are available for most lenses from 126mm down to 80mm.

The 12 volt ringlight is powered by a small, lightweight, dedicated power supply unit which will accept power from any 12 volt or 24 volt film battery utilising standard configuration XLR 4 pin. The control box provides flicker free power and allows individual switching of four quarter sectors, top, bottom, left and right, and dimming from 100% down to 5% without altering color temperature. Also include is a low- battery warning light and low-battery protection circutry.

The kisslite® is the perfect tool for handheld camera work providing a lightweight beauty light source, and is also ideal for Steadicam, dolly and crane shots where a lightweight fill is required without compromising the quality of the light source.

In documentary mode, on location interiors or at night, where the camera person is often short staffed, the light is second to none. The operator has a ability to adjust the illumination level, using the dimmer on the belt, finding the required level that lights the subject with a flattering shadow-free look, without having to stop down so far as to negate the ambient light in the background scene or wasting precious time fitting N.D. filters, diffusion or wires to the light source.

The Gekko Technology battery belts are 14.4 volt 9Ah NiMh battery packs which provide up to 2 1/2 hours running time in optimum conditions.
