This compact power supply design utilizes the highest quality standards and materials to assure delivery of a product with long life and reliable performance. The lightweight aluminum case features a double edge fold for increased durability and rigid structure to support the sturdy gauge face plates. The black powder paint finish is scratch and solvent resistant. The enclosed power unit is shielded and securely mounted in the frame in its own rugged aluminum structure. Internal connections are made with 16 AWG heavy duty appliance rated wiring. The unit weighs 1.216 kg - 2 lbs 11 oz, and measures 170mm x 165mm x 60mm - 6.50" x 6.75" x 2.25".
The BA1012PS is input auto-sensing and will operate in an AC range of 90-264 VAC, 47-63 Hz. Connection to an AC source is made via the supplied IEC standard cordset. The visual power on switch is lettered for easy status recognition. Output DC power is fuse protected with an ATO automotive blade fuse through 2 standard Neutrik locking 4-pin XLR connectors. Pin 4 is positive and pin 1 is negative. Maximum total power output is rated 10 amps at 12 volts DC with a PCI CA-RPC1 low loss power cable. (Use of longer or lighter gauge cables will increase power drop due to line losses and may affect the reliable delivery of power to a specified load) The switchmode electronic supply features thermal and power line stability over a wide range of application variables that include current foldback and short-circuit output protection. Additional components prevent leakage back into the supply from other power sources such as on-board camera batteries and eliminate any radio frequency interference.
Caution: When power supply is operated at 10 Amps maximum, the unit will be hot to touch. The unit will shut itself down when overheated, and will reset itself when cooled down.
