The Hawk-Woods VL-MAC/2 Apple Mac Battery Adapter allows production personnel to run their Mac laptops from the batteries already being used out in the field. They are ideal for using in remote locations, or if you are going to be away from a mains power supply for a prolonged period of time, which often is the case in this industry. The large capacity of most broadcast camera V-Mount batteries, provide a huge amount of portable power. With this new VL-MAC/2 adapter, the available battery power supply on set is now accessible for your Mac.
The combined voltage of any inserted batteries is stepped-down to 19v which is now capable of charging the Mac’s internal battery as well as powering it. The VL-MAC/2 Battery Adapter can be powered by one or two V-Lok (V-Mount) batteries. The VL-MAC/2 works with all V-Mount type batteries.
